Abigail and Ready or Not Confirmed to Share Universe

There are a few similarities in two major films from Radio Silence, Abigail and Ready or Not. Co-director Matt Bettinelli-Olpin recently confirmed to Collider that the two films share the same universe.

“There is a little bit of a tied universe to Ready or Not within the movie (Abigail), says Bettinelli-Olpen. “There is a portrait in the background of one of the scenes of Henry Czerny’s character from Ready or Not.”

Tyler Gillet adds, “It would be a grandfather. A great, great, great, great grandfather.”

So, is the Le Domas family from Ready or Not somehow connected to the Lazar crime family from Abigail? This seems like something that definitely needs clarity in forthcoming sequels for either film.
