Scary Movie Getting Reboot in 2025

Now that horror is in full swing again, we learned today from Variety that a reboot of the comedic Scary Movie franchise is expected in 2025 from Paramount and Miramax.

According to the report, “Paramount Pictures announced that it is partnering with Fast and Furious mega-producer Neal H. Moritz to resurrect the dormant franchise. Scary Movie is going into production in the fall of 2024, and should hit theaters in 2025.”

The original movie, directed by Keenen Ivory Wayans, debuted in 2000 and spawn four sequels until 2013, when the series finally died.
