Neve Campbell Announces Return to Scream with Kevin Williamson Directing

Neve Campbell surprised Scream fans across the globe today with an announcement of her return to the franchise as Sydney Prescott in the next film which will be directed by the series creator Kevin Williamson.

You can see the full Instagram post above, featuring a photo of the script with her name watermarked across it, as well as naming Williamson as the director. Guy Busick is named as the writer from a story by James Vanderbilt and Busick.

It sounds like Campbell got the paycheck and script that she was wanting, so we’re excited to see what the future of Scream has to offer.
