Neon Creeps Us Out with Teasers

We’re not sure what the hell this is, but it creeped us out. The following video was released by Neon on January 5th.

Early speculation was that it was a mysterious promo for their upcoming film, Longlegs, starring Nicolas Cage and Maika Monroe (It Follows, Watcher, Significant Other) and directed by Oz Perkins (Gretel & Hansel, I Am the Pretty Thing that Lives in the House, The Blackcoat’s Daughter).

A week later, this eerily similar video was dropped on Neon’s YouTube page.

Longlegs follows FBI Agent Lee Harker (Monroe), who is assigned to an unsolved serial killer case that takes an unexpected turn, revealing evidence of the occult. Harker discovers a personal connection to the killer and must stop him before he strikes again.

Again, we’re not sure what to think of this, and we’re not positive this is connected to Longlegs, but we like mysterious marketing campaigns like this. If the trend continues, we should get another video tomorrow.
