New Films in I Know What You Did Last Summer and Insidious Get Scheduled for 2025

Get ready for sequels next Summer! New films in the franchises of I Know What You Did Last Summer and Insidious have been announced.

The next chapter in I Know What You Did Last Summer will arrive in theaters July 18, 2025, and will be directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson (Do Revenge) from a script by Leah McKendrick. Nothing is set in stone, yet, but Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr. could potentially return, according to multiple sources.

Sony has also announced another installment of the Insidious franchise for an August 29, 2025, release. Deadline reports that this is not the Mandy Moore and Kumail Nanjiani-starring spinoff previously announced as Thread: An Insidious Tale, but another new film.

Obviously, few details about either project have been officially announced, but we will follow both stories for updates.
