After the Success of Prey, Another Predator Film in the Works

Dan Trachtenberg’s Prey, released in 2022 exclusively on Hulu, was never supposed to break streaming records much less win an Emmy, but since it has, the filmmaker has another opportunity to play in the Predator sandbox by writing and directing Badlands for 20th Century Studios, according to Deadline.

Badlands is billed as another standalone Predator movie and “is a high priority for the studio,” based on the Deadline report. They add that other projects that could expand the Predator universe are also being discussed, including a sequel to Prey.

The possibilities for Badlands are endless, but plot details are being kept quiet for the time being, and release information is still up in the air, but a theatrical release is not impossible.
